Teleport, AirAsia Group's cargo and logistics subsidiary, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Triple i Logistics covering the establishment of a cargo joint venture in Thailand.

The group said in a press release that the JV will integrate cargo capacity offered by Thai AirAsia (FD, Bangkok Don Mueang) and Thai AirAsia X (XJ, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) and is planned to go live on January 1, 2020.

Triple i Logistics has been managing cargo capacity on behalf of the two Thai units of AirAsia Group for the last ten years already. The JV will conduct business as a general cargo sales agent and it will enter into a master general cargo sales agent agreement with both airlines.

"With our infrastructure, we intend to open this to both individuals and companies, enabling them to transport anything they want both quickly and painlessly," Teleport CEO Pete Chareonwongsak said.
