Air Antwerp (Antwerp) has taken delivery of its first aircraft as it progresses with its bid to secure a Belgian Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).

Formerly SE-MFY with Amapola Flyg (HP, Stockholm Arlanda), OO-VLS (msn 20109) was ferried from Malmö to Antwerp on Saturday, July 27. The 30-year-old Fokker Aircraft, Air Antwerp said, will remain in Antwerp "for a few days of training, before heading back for final touches".

Air Antwerp is a 75/25 joint-venture between CityJet (WX, Dublin International) and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol). From its Antwerp base, it will run regular flights to regional European destinations that include London City.
