China Postal Airlines (CF, Nanjing) has taken delivery of its first P2F-converted B737-800 freighter following the handing over of B-5156 (msn 30786) on Wednesday, August 7.

The reconfiguration of the ex-China Southern Airlines twinjet, which is leased from BBAM, was undertaken by Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Co, Ltd (STAECO) on behalf of Boeing (BOE, Washington National).

China Postal has a total of ten B737-800(F)s on order from Boeing all of which will add to its existing fleet of eleven B737-300(F)s, two B737-300(QC)s, eight B737-400(F)s, and seven B757-200(PCF)s. Operationally, its network primarily focuses on China's eastern hemisphere serving 27 cities across China from its Nanjing hub as well as Osaka Kansai in Japan, Seoul Incheon in South Korea, and Taipei Taoyuan.

Boeing said in July that it plans to deliver seventeen B737-800(BCF)s this year with both STAECO and the Shanghai Boeing Aviation Refit and Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. mandated to carry out works.
