Air Antwerp (Antwerp) will commercial flight operations on Monday, September 9, with the launch of its inaugural Antwerp-London City service.

Belgian civil aviation documents indicate the start-up, which is a 75/25 joint-venture between CityJet and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, has now secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC), B-3061, and Operator's Licence (OL).

According to the carrier, the Antwerp-London City return route will codeshare with KLM and will operate 3x daily on weekdays but with only a single weekend service - on Sunday evening.

Flight operations will be onboard a single Fokker 50, OO-VLS (msn 20109), formerly SE-MFY with Amapola Flyg (HP, Stockholm Arlanda).
