Vietnam Airlines (VN, Hanoi Noi Bai International) has taken delivery of its first B787-10 following the handing over of VN-A879 (msn 60287) at Charleston International on Thursday, August 15.

The Boeing widebody jet is one of eight the majority-state-owned carrier is taking on lease from Air Lease Corporation. They feature General Electric GEnx-1B76A/P2 powerplants and seat 367 passengers in a two-class configuration; 24 in business class and 343 in economy class.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Vietnam Airlines' widebody fleet also includes eleven B787-9s - all owned - alongside fourteen A350-900s and a single A330-200 (in the process of being retired).
