Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) took delivery of its first A321-200neo on September 11, 2019, ch-aviation research has revealed.

TC-RBA (msn 8936) was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen on its delivery flight but has yet to start revenue operations, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.

Pegasus Airlines plans to initially debut the A321neo on domestic routes in Turkey, operating from Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen to Adana, Ankara Esenboga, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Antalya, and Trabzon.

The Turkish LCC has forty-three A321neo on order from Airbus in addition to thirty A320-200neo. According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the carrier's existing fleet includes twelve A320-200s, thirty-one A320neo, and thirty-nine B737-800s (including five operated by subsidiary IzAir).

Pegasus Airlines' A321neo will come equipped with 239 all-economy class seats, marking a significant upgauging from 180-186 on its A320-200s, 186 on A320neo, and 177-189 on B737-800s.

Pegasus Airlines is in the process of transitioning to all-Airbus fleet and plans to retire all B737s by the end of 2024.
