CityJet (WX, Dublin International) has concluded wet-lease contracts with Air France (AF, Paris CDG) and Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International), leaving just two of its nine ARJ-85s active.

According to ch-aviation analysis of Flightradar24 ADS-B data, only EI-RJD (msn E2334) and EI-RJI (msn E2346) are currently active, operating 36x weekly between Dublin International and London City under a long-term wet-lease agreement with Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International). The other seven units are grounded.

The Irish ACMI/charter specialist is currently in the process of replacing the BAe Systems quadjets with CRJ900LRs. It operates 28 of these regional jets, of which the majority (23) are wet-leased to SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) and the remaining five to Brussels Airlines (SN, Brussels National).

CityJet did not respond to ch-aviation's question whether it will continue to market the seven inactive ARJ85s or if they will be permanently retired.
