Air Peace (P4, Lagos) is finalising its plans to add another domestic destination to its network, as service to Makurdi, the capital of the Benue state, is expected to begin in late November, following an agreement signed with the Benue State Government last year.

The city, which is located in the Middle Belt along the Benue River, is likely to be served from both of the carrier's gateways at Abuja and Lagos, with flights operated by subsidiary Air Peace Hopper (P4, Lagos), which was established in 2018.

Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos last week, Air Peace Chairman Allen Onyema said: "We are only waiting to receive another Embraer 145 Jet which we are using for such operations." When consulting the ch-aviation PRO airlines module, the carrier has a fleet of six E145s, although one of these - 5N-BUX (msn 145322) - is currently stored.

Although announced by the Chairman on October 31, the destination is not currently on sale on the airline's website as it concludes its preparations.

According to the ch-aviation schedules module, Air Peace already operates to nine domestic points from Abuja, as well as 11 from Lagos.
