British subsidiary of the Volga-Dnepr Group, CargoLogicAir (P3, London Stansted), has announced that it will retire two of its four B747 freighters in 2020, responding to the slump in the global cargo market, Air Cargo News has reported.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the airline currently operates three B747-400(F)s and one B747-8(F). It is unclear which of these will be retired. CargoLogicAir did not respond to ch-aviation's request for clarification.

The airline added that its aim continues to be growth in the future.

As of November 1, 2019, the British cargo specialist cancelled its scheduled flights from Frankfurt International to Chicago O'Hare, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson, and Oslo Gardermoen, and from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Hong Kong International.

CargoLogicAir's Russian sister carrier Volga-Dnepr Airlines (VI, Ulyanovsk Vostochny) recently said it will mothball some of its An-124s and implement a job cuts programme to stem losses.
