Nigerian conglomerate Elin Group has signed a firm purchase agreement with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC, Toronto Downsview) for three Dash 8-400s. No further details concerning the order, which was announced during the ongoing Dubai Airshow 2019, were revealed.
"The Dash 8-400 turboprop has been operating in Nigeria with other carriers and we have seen how this aircraft can support our diverse operational requirements,” Caroline Pritheesh, Managing Director, Elin Group, said in a statement.
A privately-owned energy conglomerate based in Nigeria, Elin Group has interests in real estate development, power generation, agriculture, gas utilisation, mining, maritime operations, and the aviation sector.
According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Arik Air (W3, Lagos) is the only operator of the Dash 8-400 in Nigeria with a fleet of four.
