Central Airlines (I9, Haikou) has taken delivery of its inaugural aircraft, sources on Chinese microblogger website Weibo have said.

Formerly in service with Suparna Airlines (Y8, Shanghai Hongqiao), B737-300(F) B-2119 (msn 25998) arrived at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport last week as part of the start-up's certification drive.

Zhongzhou Airlines is owned by two directors, Zhan Yang and Song Shengli, each with 30% stakes and the Henan Zhongzhou Tengfei International Freight Forwarding Co. a Zhengzhou-based international freight forwarding, overland transport, and warehousing firm with a 40% stake.

It plans to run domestic Chinese (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) as well as international air cargo and mail flights from its Zhengzhou hub using a fleet of B737 freighters.

According to the ch-aviation PRO airlines module, Zhongzhou Airlines will join Longhao Airlines (Zhengzhou) as Zhengzhou's only other locally-based carrier. As previously reported, Longhao Airlines moved to the Henan hub from Guangzhou following its buy out by the Henan Civil Aviation Development Investment Co. (HNCA).
