The US Department for Transportation (DOT) revoked Public Charters' Commuter Air Carrier Authorisation (CACA) on November 21 for reasons of dormancy.

Under Section 204.7 of the DOT's Federal Aviation Regulations, it states that "if an air carrier does not have its fitness determined and resume operations within one year of the date of its cessation, its authority will be revoked for dormancy."

Originally, PublicCharters (PCI) was issued its CACA in May 2017. However, just over 12 months later in August 2018, PCI informed the DOT that it intended to cease scheduled operations from September 5, 2018.

PCI used to offer scheduled services in Pennsylvania and Texas under the Regional Sky (4P, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International) and Texas Sky (Victoria, TX) brands, but now is just marketing and distributing Ultimate Jetcharters (Akron Regional) scheduled services, including a Manistee, IL to Chicago Midway service operating under the virtual North Country Sky (4P, Manistee) brand.
