Buta Airways (Baku Heydar Aliev International) is switching airports in Kiev from January 22, 2020, as its 3x weekly service shifts from Kyiv Igor Sikorsky to Kyiv Boryspil.

The low-cost carrier (LCC) division of AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines (J2, Baku Heydar Aliev International) will operate its services to Boryspil from January until the end of the Winter 2019/2020 season, and it is expected to continue into Summer 2020.

The airline is familiar with operations at Boryspil, as Buta switched to the Ukraine capital city's main airport between September 2 and 16 during a temporary closure of Igor Sikorsky Airport.

According to the ch-aviation schedules module, the LCC currently operates to 17 regional destinations from its base in Baku Heydar Aliev International, including Kiev. It also flies 2x weekly from IATA!KVD, in the east of the country, to Moscow Vnukovo.
