Gulfstream Aerospace (GLF, Savannah International) has announced in a press release that it delivered the first G500 business jet to a customer in Europe.
The delivery was made possible by the certification of the G500 by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in October 2019. The G500 was originally certified in the United States on July 20, 2018.
The first European G500 was taken by an undisclosed Western-European-based charter operator.
The G500 and its longer variant G600 are the newest types manufactured by Gulfstream. They are replacing Gulfstream IV G450 and Gulfstream V G550 aircraft, respectively.
