Eritrean Airlines (B8, Asmara) has adjusted its wet-leased fleet following the recent addition of a B737-400, Skyliner Aviation has reported.
UR-CNP (msn 23980) replaced sistership B737-300 UR-CNF (msn 27126) at the end of November when the latter was ferried back to Ukraine. Both aircraft are operated by Ukrainian ACMI/charter specialist and longtime Eritrean Airlines partner, YanAir (YE, Kyiv Igor Sikorsky).
According to Flightradar24 ADS-B data, state-owned Eritrean Airlines' network consists of flights from Asmara to Addis Ababa International (Ethiopia), Jeddah International (Saudi Arabia), and Khartoum (Sudan).
Eritrea is also home to Massawa Airways (Massawa), a wholly-owned subsidiary of another state-backed entity, General Aviation Services. While it has been known to operate a single MA-60 on domestic Eritrean routes in the past, its current status is unknown.
