Flywings Aviation (Tbilisi), a Georgian start-up, has acquired a Fokker 100 previously operated by Croatia's Trade Air (C3, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman), Airstream International Group, the aircraft broker that arranged the transaction, said in a press release.

9A-BTD (msn 11407), a 27.4-year-old unit, operated its last revenue flight for the Croatian charter specialist on September 19, flying from Warsaw Chopin to Zagreb Franjo Tuđman, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. It was then ferried to Tekirdag on November 27, 2019.

Flywings does not yet have an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) and according to sources in the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, has yet to apply for one.

Commercial Director Morteza Bistooni confirmed to ch-aviation that Flywings has started "investing in Georgian aviation" but is not yet an airline. The aircraft will be leased to Bravo Air (Georgia) (BRZ, Tbilisi), ch-aviation has learned.

For its part, Trade Air continues to operate one more Fokker 100 for charter flights, as well as two A320-200s, one of which is currently wet-leased to Israir (6H, Tel Aviv Ben Gurion). It also operates scheduled PSO routes within Croatia using a Let 410 wet-leased from VAN AIR Europe (V9, Brno).
