Canada Jetlines eyes US ops while raising more cash
16.09.2022 - 14:19 UTCCanada Jetlines (AU, Toronto Pearson) has applied to the US Department of Transportation for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit and exemption authority to operate scheduled and charter flights between Canada and the US. Flights on the route will operate twice weekly, increasing to 3x weekly from October 13. More routes will be announced soon, the company said in a statement.

"The launch of Canada Jetlines is yet another milestone marking recovery in the travel and tourism sector," added Calgary Airport Authority chief executive Bob Sartor.
The leisure startup initially planned to take off on August 15, and then on August 29, pending the finalisation of its air operator's certificate (AOC) from Transport Canada.
