Flexjet (LXJ, Cleveland Cuyahoga Country) took delivery of the world's first Embraer Praetor 500 business jet on December 23, 2019, the Ohio-based fractional ownership firm said in a press release.

"We have long been partners with Embraer, helping to launch aircraft such as the Legacy Executive, the Phenom 300 and the Legacy 450. Now we take the next step in that relationship, making the Praetor 500 - the most technologically advanced aircraft in its category - available to Flexjet Owners first," Chief Executive Officer Michael Silvestro said.

The American firm and Embraer Executive Jets (Sao Jose dos Campos) announced a commitment for Praetor 500s, 600s, and E505s worth a combined USD1.4 billion in October 2019. The number of aircraft covered by the order was not disclosed.

Flexjet said it will replace all of its E545s (Legacy 450s) with Praetor 500s going forward, on top of the deliveries of incremental Praetor 500s for fleet growth. The new business jet is a next-generation variant of the Legacy 450. The Praetor 600 is an upgraded variant of the E550 (Legacy 500).
