This summer, Rønne, in Denmark, will gain its first international service when DAT (Denmark) (DX, Kolding) commences a 2x weekly service to Berlin Tegel, ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has revealed. No other Danish airport, apart from Copenhagen Kastrup, offers a direct service to Tegel, although Billund does have flights to Berlin Schönefeld.

The Danish regional carrier, which also offers domestic routes to Aalborg, Aarhus, Billund, Copenhagen, and Karup from Rønne during the summer season, will offer the German route between July 2 and August 9. The 159-nautical mile (295-kilometre) sector will be flown by DAT's ATR72 fleet. Currently, the carrier has a fleet of three ATR72-200s (one stored), one ATR72-200(QC), one ATR72-500 and two ATR72-600s.

As a result of attracting its first scheduled international flight, Rønne will now join Aarhus, Aalborg, Billund, Esbjerg, and Copenhagen as Danish airports offering foreign flights.

Rønne, the administrative centre of Bornholm island, is also served by Alsie Express (Sønderborg), which provides a 3x weekly domestic route to Sønderborg.
