Serene Air (ER, Islamabad International) is planning to launch international operations "in the near future", Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Safdar Khan said in an open letter celebrating the carrier's third anniversary.

"Management is working anxiously to provide better options of travel to our valued passengers on regional and international routes. We are confident that sooner rather than later, Serene Air would become the first choice of our valued customers in the international arena as well," he wrote.

No further details were disclosed at this point regarding the carrier's prospective international network or launch timeline.

Currently, Serene Air deploys three B737-800s on an exclusively domestic network encompassing Karachi International, Islamabad International, Lahore International, Quetta, Faisalabad, and Peshawar, the ch-aviation PRO airlines module shows.

The privately-owned airline would become the third Pakistani scheduled carrier after PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad International) and AirBlue (PA, Karachi International) to offer international flights.
