Pel-Air Aviation (PFY, Sydney Kingsford Smith) has ordered five medevac-configured Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 350s ahead of its 10-year-contract to operate for the New South Wales Ambulance starting in January 2022, Textron Aviation (Wichita Cessna Aircraft Field) said in a press release.

Deliveries of the aircraft are scheduled to commence during the course of 2020 and run through 2021. The twin props will be based out of Sydney Kingsford Smith and will replace older King Air 200s and 350s currently used by the NSW Ambulance.

Pel-Air will configure its King Airs for multi-stretcher operations and an aft cargo door with heavyweight options for additional performance capabilities.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Rex - Regional Express (ZL, Wagga Wagga), Pel-Air already operates four King Air 200Cs on its medevac operations in Victoria under a contract valid through 2023.
