Bestfly (Luanda 4 De Fevereiro) has won a contract from ExxonMobil to transport staff from Luanda 4 De Fevereiro to its main oil logistics base in Soyo. The Angolan fixed-wing and rotary aircraft operator will utilise its ATR72-600, D2-BFC (msn 1060), on the 170-nautical-mile (315-kilometre) sector.

The contract, which is for three years initially, includes the possibility of a two-year extension.

“We faced tough local and international competition to win this tender after very detailed audits by ExxonMobil,” Bestfly Chief Executive Officer Nuno Pereira said in a statement. "We have already been serving all of the international oil and gas companies with their repatriation plans during the COVID-19 outbreak and we have had our whole fleet available to give support to get people home.”

Bestfly, which is expecting a second ATR72-600 D2-BFD (msn 1072), also operates a Do328-300 alongside a variety of Beechcraft, Gulfstream Aerospace, Bombardier Aerospace, and Cessna Aircraft Company jets and turboprops on medevac as well as general passenger charter flights.
