Air Antwerp (Antwerp) has announced that it will remain grounded through the end of August 2020 and will resume its only scheduled route, from Antwerp to London City, on September 1.

The Belgian carrier, which operates a single Fokker 50, has been grounded since March 22. Initially, its operations were due to resume in early May. However, as the COVID-19 pandemic has not abated, the airline decided to delay the restart of flight operations.

Air Antwerp has an existing code-share agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol) on its only route.

London City airport closed in late March but recently announced it would reopen to domestic flights in late June and to international services in July 2020.
