Azores Airlines (S4, Ponta Delgada) resumed international operations on July 1, restarting flights to Frankfurt International in Europe, and to Boston and Toronto Pearson in North America.

The Azorean carrier restarted operations in mid-June but has thus far operated exclusively between various islands in the archipelago and points in mainland Portugal, Lisbon and Porto. Services to North America are operated with A321-200N and A321-200NX(LR) equipment, while flights to Frankfurt are performed with an A320-200.

Services to Praia in Cape Verde are due to restart in early August, the carrier's internet booking engine shows.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Azores Airlines currently operates three A320-200s, two A321neo, one A321neo(LR), and has one A330-200 in maintenance at Naples Capodichino airport. The carrier's parent SATA Air Acores (SP, Ponta Delgada), which operates inter-island flights in the Azores, restarted scheduled services in late May.
