AirExplore (ED, Bratislava) has launched its first scheduled service, linking Slovakia's capital Bratislava with Split on July 19. The carrier had so far specialised in ACMI and charter flights using its fleet of seven B737-800s with a first A320-200 due to join the fleet shortly.

The Slovakian operator will continue to serve the second largest Croatian city twice weekly until September 6 using one of its B737-800s.

Given very little demand for ACMI services as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Air Explore only flew a limited number of flights for Transavia France (TO, Paris Orly) during the month of July using two of its B737-800s. The remainder of its fleet was either deployed on ad-hoc charter services or parked at Bratislava's airport according to ch-aviation analysis of Flightradar24 ADS-B data.

According to Air Explore's internet booking engine, it will also offer a single scheduled flight to both Dubrovnik and Zadar this summer season. There are currently no other scheduled services linking Slovakia and Croatia.
