euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) resumed its sole scheduled service, a weekly return flight between Lisbon and Bissau in Guinea-Bissau, on August 7, 2020.

The Portuguese ACMI/charter specialist will operate the route using one of its six B767-300ERs. The service was suspended on March 13 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the only scheduled intercontinental service from Guinea-Bissau, according to the ch-aviation schedules module.

The airline touts the benefits of Guinea-Bissau as a relatively safe vacation spot given the lack of recorded active COVID-19 cases in any of the country's resorts. Until the resumption of euroAtlantic's flights, Guinea-Bissau's borders will remain closed to foreigners. Passengers will have to present a negative COVID-19 test taken less than 72 hours before departure upon boarding.

euroAtlantic resumed its other African route, to São Tome, on July 3, 2020, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The weekly service, also operated with a B767-300(ER)s, is flown on behalf of STP Airways (8F, São Tome).
