Texel Air (XLR, Bahrain International) has taken delivery of its first B737-700(FC), a combi passenger/freighter it can configure into seven distinct layouts with a 48-hour adjustment time.

N393AG (msn 30293), a 16.4-year-old narrowbody formerly operated in a passenger configuration by Yakutia Airlines (R3, Yakutsk), was ferried after conversion by PEMCO World Air Services from Tampa International via Manassas, Bangor, London Stansted, and Larnaca to Bahrain International over the course of August 21-24, 2020, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft is due to be re-registered as A9C-FLX in Bahrain and is owned by Texel Air's parent Chisholm Enterprises.

The aircraft will be based out of Bahrain. Texel Air said that the seven configuration options range from full-cargo to a combi layout seating up to 24 passengers in economy class seats, eight in business class, or a mix thereof. The aircraft will also be made available for medevac services in a dedicated configuration.

Texel Air's current fleet includes two B737-300(F)s of which one is owned and the other is dry-leased from Kahala Aviation Group.

Texel Air is one of two Bahrain-based cargo specialists besides DHL International Aviation Middle East (ES, Bahrain International).
