Air Seychelles (HM, Mahé) will resume limited commercial flights across its regional network from Mahé to Mauritius, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion from November 2020, the airline announced.

The Indian Ocean island flag carrier starts weekly services to Johannesburg and Mauritius from November 1, 2020, upping its Johannesburg flights to three times weekly and those to Mauritius to twice a week from December 1 to cater for peak summer holiday season demand in Southern Africa. Johannesburg services will scale down after the season to twice weekly between January 11 and March 31, 2021.

The airline also resumes twice-weekly services to Tel Aviv from November 1, 2020.

However, Air Seychelles' flights to Mumbai International, its only other international destination, remain suspended due to current COVID-19 restrictions in India, but the airline operates charters to Mumbai and Ahmedabad on demand.

On its international routes, the airline operates two A320-200N leased from Air Lease Corporation and CDB Aviation respectively; and five owned DHC-6-400 domestically, according to the ch-aviation fleets module.

Chief Executive Officer Remco Althuis commented in a statement: “As we start to re-establish our network with the gradual re-opening of borders, to ensure that we operate safely we will continue to implement all the required measures at each destination where we operate, by working closely with all stakeholders to safeguard the health of our guests and employees”.
