West Atlantic (United Kingdom) (NPT, Nottingham East Midlands) has registered its first ATR - Avions de Transport Régional dedicated freighter in the form of ATR72-200(F) G-CLNK (msn 147), ch-aviation research has revealed.
The 31-year-old turboprop was previously operated by Swiftair (WT, Madrid Barajas). The Spanish carrier recently operated it on behalf of EAT Leipzig (QY, Leipzig/Halle) between Guernsey, Jersey, and Nottingham East Midlands. It has been parked at the latter of these airports since October 29, and was re-registered in the UK by its new owner on November 2. It has yet to resume operations.
West Atlantic (United Kingdom) has thus far operated a fleet of Boeing freighters, comprising six B737-300(F)s, seven B737-400(F)s, one B737-400(SF), and one B737-800(BCF). The airline's parent, West Atlantic Sweden (T2, Malmö), operates three B737-800(BCF)s, two B767-200(SF)s, twenty-seven BAe ATP(F)s, and two CRJ200LR(PF)s, the ch-aviation fleets module shows.
