Miami Air (BSK, Miami International) has taken delivery of its first aircraft, a B737-800, ahead of its planned restart under new ownership, Skyliner Aviation has reported.

HL7567 (msn 28647), a 19.4-year-old twinjet previously operated by Eastar Jet (ZE, Seoul Gimpo) and owned by GECAS, was ferried from Seoul Gimpo via Sapporo Chitose and Anchorage Ted Stevens to Miami Opa-Locka over the course of October 20-22, 2020, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft has been re-registered as N770MA since then but has yet to be flown.

Miami Air plans to restart with a single aircraft as a passenger charter specialist. The new Delaware-based company acquired the assets and took over the certificate of bankrupt Miami Air International (Miami International).

The airline is owned by Tomas Romero, who also owns World Atlantic Airlines (WL, Miami International).
