Transair Express (R9, Honolulu) is planning to launch international charters with a B737-200 and has asked the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to make effective its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Foreign Charter Air Transportation, initially issued in 2017.

The airline said in its application that while it "had planned to commence foreign charter air transportation services well before now", it could not do so due to various external factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it has recently secured the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to launch services to Canada, Mexico, Central and Southern America, and the Caribbean.

Trans Executive Airlines also trades as Transair Express (R9, Honolulu)T-o, Transair Global, and Interisland Airways Hawaii. According to its DOT filing, it currently has six Shorts 360s and a single B737-200, N413JG (msn 23148), on its books. The FAA aircraft registry shows that the airline owns one more Shorts 360, two B737-200Cs, and one B737-200(F). The three Boeing dedicated freighters are active on cargo runs within the Hawaiian islands.

Trans Executive Airlines' subsidiary Transair Hawaii (T4, Honolulu) operates an additional two B737-200 dedicated freighters on behalf of its parent.
