It will retire its two B737-300s in February and return the aircraft to the lessor. It has temporarily remarked its single B737-600 for the winter season but will use the aircraft again as of April to operate charter services out of Bournemouth on behalf of tour operator Palmair. TAP Portugal (TP, Lisbon) has announced it will launch five times weekly A320-200 services from Lisbon to Helsinki, Moscow and Warsaw next summer season but has yet to put the flights on sale. It has cancelled an order for additional eight A320-200s. It has already given up its services from Lisbon to Clermont-Ferrand.

Armavia (U8, Yerevan) is planning to lease a first A321-200 and has announced several new services: Yerevan-Berlin Tegel: 2x weekly A319-100 service starting on April 14 Yerevan-Zurich: 3x weekly A319-100 service starting on March 30 It has given up its Yerevan-Dusseldorf Intl route at the end of October. Armavia plans to use Yerevan as a transit hub for services from Europe and Russia to Central Asia and Iran and wants to lease two CRJs for regional services. It has also announced plans to add Tehran as its first Iranian destination in 2009.

CSA Czech Airlines (OK, Prague Ruzyne) and Ural Airlines (U6/Ekaterinburg) have entered into a reciprocal codeshare agreement for the Prague-Ekaterinburg route that both carriers serve. CSA will give up its Prague-Dublin route on March 20.

SAS Norge (BU, Oslo Gardermoen) will not resume its seasonal routes from Oslo Gardermoen to Athens, Bilbao, Chania, Funchal, Ibiza, Lisbon, Malta, Naples and Seville next summer season and give up its Oslo Gardermoen-Berlin Tegel route on December 22 and its Oslo Gardermoen-Tenerife Sur route on March 22. It will launch twice weekly seasonal B737-700 service from Oslo Gardermoen to Innsbruck on December 26. SAS Norge has added another ex-SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK/Copenhagen Kastrup) B737-800.

Germania (ST, Berlin Schönefeld) has cancelled the majority of its new scheduled routes ahead of their planned launch. It has given up plans for new routes from Basle/Mulhouse to Bari, from Berlin Tegel to Athens and Memmingen, from Dusseldorf Intl to Athens, Bari and Memmingen and from Memmingen to Catania and Palma de Mallorca. As a result, Germania has also decided to phase out its entire Fokker 100 fleet. In more positive news, it has recently launched a weekly B737-300 service from Dusseldorf to Skopje.
