Hi Fly (5K, Lisbon) has not taken delivery of the third A340-500 it was planning to lease and operate on behalf of Arik Air (W3/Lagos). It had temporarily wet-leased its single A330-200 to Garuda Indonesia (GA/Jakarta Intl) for the Hajj season. It will reportedly wet-lease one of its A310-300s to Palau based start-up carrier Pacific Flier (PI/Koror).

Jet Air (Poland) (O2, Warsaw Chopin) and its Finnish partner Wingo (Tampere) have submitted a bid for the Tallinn-Kärdla public service obligation route. The two carriers have launched a joint three times weekly Helsinki-Lappeenranta service using Jet Air Jetstream 31s on January 11 taking over from virtual carrier Fly Lappeenranta (Lappeenranta) that had previously operated on the public service obligation route in cooperation with Highland Airways (8H/Inverness).
