KD Avia (KD, Kaliningrad) has been forced to temporarily suspend operations for two days in mid-April because of financial difficulties. It has since resumed limited operations but will not resume its seasonal services from Kaliningrad to Odessa and Simferopol this year while it has also terminated its Kaliningrad-Milan Malpensa route. KD has entered into a codeshare agreement with Belavia (B2/Minsk Intl 2) for the Kaliningrad-Minsk Intl 2 route operated by the Belorussian carrier.

KLM cityhopper (WA, Amsterdam Schiphol) has placed an order for seven additional EMB-170s in addition to its ten firm orders and nine options for the Brazilian regional aircraft. This would allow KLM cityhopper to retire its Fokker 50 and Fokker 100 fleets in 2010 when it would operate Fokker 70s and Embraers only. It has sold 15 Fokker 100s to Evsen Group, the parent of Eagle Aviation (France) (EGN/St. Nazaire) that is planning to use the aircraft for a new start-up carrier in the Middle East. MAT Macedonian Airlines (IN, Skopje) has been forced to at least temporarily suspend operations after its single B737-500 has been sent to Belgrade for maintenance and the Macedonian civil aviation authority requested additional maintenance work before the aircraft can return back to service.
