Jat Airways (JU, Belgrade) has given up plans to lease a B767-200ER for this summer season. It has resumed weekly B737-300 service between Belgrade and Cairo and will launch twice weekly B737-300 service from Belgrade to Monastir on May 18. It is expected to add two CRJ-700s to its fleet later this spring.

easyJet News Update

easyJet (U2, London Luton) has been prevented from launching its Milan Malpensa-Olbia route last month by the Italian aviation authorities. The route has been assigned to Meridiana (IG/Olbia) as a public service obligation route. The Italian authorities have granted exclusivity in return for fixed low fares for Sardinian residents on routes from Milan and Rom to the Sardinian airports of Alghero, Cagliari and Olbia.
