airBaltic (BT, Riga) has launched weekly B737-500 services from Riga to both Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh as well as three weekly Fokker 50 flights between Riga and Gothenburg Landvetter. It has dropped its Riga-Warsaw, Vilnius-Budapest and Vilnius-Warsaw routes instead. Air Baltic is reportedly considering replacing some of its B737-500s by B737-300s or B737-400s next year.

Air France (AF, Paris CDG) has retired its last B747-300 and ordered an additional A319-100LR. It has already given up its Bordeaux-Dublin and Nantes-London Gatwick routes and will drop its Paris CDG-Eindhoven route on December 23.
