Jat Airways (JU, Belgrade) is reportedly close to bankruptcy after no bids where received for the privatization of the carrier and has announced cuts to its network and fleet. It will only operate nine instead of fifteen aircraft in the winter season. Jat will give up its routes from Belgrade to Gothenburg Landvetter, Malta, Prague, Tirana and Tripoli on October 25. It will codeshare with CSA Czech Airlines (OK/Prague) on the Belgrade-Prague route instead.

The carriers had announced plans to immediately restart operations under bankruptcy protection with approximately 50% of its fleets and staff but these plans have not yet materialized. It has launched twice daily A319-100 service between Moscow Domodedovo and Krasnoyarsk on September 7 and three times weekly Tu-154M service between Krasnoyarsk and Norilsk on September 12. It will launch weekly seasonal EMB-195 service from Manchester to Friedrichshafen on December 21. Flybe. will give up its services between Exeter and Inverness on October 24 and replace its Exeter-Aberdeen non-stop services with a five times weekly Exeter-Leeds/Bradford-Exeter Dash 8-400 flight. It has already given up its Glasgow Intl-Newquay route on August 2.
