Republic Flight Lines (Santo Domingo La Isabela) has taken delivery of its first Embraer Regional Jet. According to Skyliner Aviation, ERJ-145 HI1024 (msn 145230) was positioned to Santo Domingo La Isabela from Madrid Barajas via Shannon and Reykjavik Keflavik ahead of the Christmas break.

Prior to this, Republic Flight Lines had operated a fleet of light Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna Aircraft Company, and Piper Aircraft.

Azur Air Ukraine (QU, Kiev Boryspil) has taken delivery of its first B737-900(ER) in the form UR-AZB (msn 35712), formerly PK-LFJ with Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta). Canadian regulator suspends West Wind Aviation's AOC

Transport Canada suspended the air operator's certificate (AOC) of West Wind Aviation (WEW, Saskatoon) on December 22, 2017, as a result of an investigation related to the crash of the airline's ATR 42-320 on December 13 in northern Saskatchewan.

Clear Harbour Airways (Jersey) is planning to launch seaplane operations in the Channel Islands during the first half of 2018, initially connecting Jersey and Guernsey with a planned expansion to Alderney.

The government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has earmarked BAM1 million (USD609,000) to subsidise flights between Mostar and Zagreb, expected to be launched in Summer 2018 by Croatia Airlines.
