Canadian regulator suspends West Wind Aviation's AOC

Transport Canada suspended the air operator's certificate (AOC) of West Wind Aviation (WEW, Saskatoon) on December 22, 2017, as a result of an investigation related to the crash of the airline's ATR 42-320 on December 13 in northern Saskatchewan.

"The department took this serious action in the interest of public safety because the department identified deficiencies in the company’s Operational Control System," Transport Canada explained in a statement.

Clear Harbour Airways (Jersey) is planning to launch seaplane operations in the Channel Islands during the first half of 2018, initially connecting Jersey and Guernsey with a planned expansion to Alderney.

The government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has earmarked BAM1 million (USD609,000) to subsidise flights between Mostar and Zagreb, expected to be launched in Summer 2018 by Croatia Airlines.

Med-View Airline (VL, Kano) Managing Director Muneer Bankole has confirmed the Nigerian carrier is scouting for investors willing to shore up its capital reserves to the tune of USD50 million.
