Fly Air (F2, Istanbul Atatürk) has been banned from European airspace due to outstanding payments to Eurocontrol for air traffic control services. Other Turkish charter carriers have already taken over most charter flights from Turkey to Europe. Fly Air has launched new weekly scheduled services from Istanbul Ataturk to Ercan and Khartoum.

Malev (MA, Budapest) will give up its Budapest-Milan Malpensa and Budapest-Dusseldorf routes by the end of March. It will continue to codeshare with Alitalia (AZ/Rome Fiumicino) on the Milan route. It will operate a four times weekly seasonal Fokker 70 service between Budapest and Oslo Gardermoen and a twice weekly B737-700/-800 service from Budapest to Malaga between June and September.

Air France (AF, Paris CDG) will start up to six times daily service between Paris CDG and Birmingham on March 27 using Cityjet (WX/Dublin) BAe 146-200s. Flybe. (BE/Exeter) will give up the route by the end of this winter timetable. This is the last route Flybe. is operating under an Air France franchise agreement.

Austrian Airlines (OS, Vienna) has repainted an A320-200 in Lauda Air (NG/Vienna) colours and a Lauda Air B767-300ER in Austrian Airlines colours. It is expected to repaint all Lauda Air aircraft used for scheduled flights in Austrian colours and all Austrian aircraft used for charter flights in Lauda Air colours.
