Fly Globespan News Update

Fly Globespan (Y2, Edinburgh) will launch daily service from Glasgow Intl to Orlando Sanford on June 2 using a leased B767-300ER. It will also launch a new daily route from Edinburgh to Bournemouth, two weekly flights from Edinburgh to Ibiza and weekly services from Edinburgh to Murcia and from Glasgow Intl to Ibiza by the end of March 2006. Fly Globespan will however give up its Edinburgh-Prague flights by the end of this month.

Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel) is planning to significantly increase its presence in Zurich by adding more routes to Germany and Spain in spring 2006. It will launch twice daily services from London Stansted to Glasgow Intl and Manchester on December 16 using Fokker 100s and B737-700s.

SkyEurope Airlines (NE, Bratislava) is planning to add a fifth base in Prague in March 2006.

Fischer Air News Update

Fischer Air (8F, Prague) has suspended operations on November 1 after failing to get charter or wet-lease contracts for the winter season. It had operated two B737-300s on charter services. Its Polish sister carrier Fischer Air Polska (FFP/Warsaw) is not affected.

It will also add five weekly flights from Luton and two weekly services from Kerry County to Lorient on March 26.

Hello News Update

All three aircraft will be wet-leased to Iceland Express (Reykjavik Keflavik) to replace two JetX (GX/Southend) MD-82s currently used by the Icelandic low-cost carrier.
