Alerion Aviation (Long Beach) phased out the only Hawker Beechcraft aircraft from its charter fleet following the retirement of a Hawker 900XP, ch-aviation research shows.
The 17.2-year-old jet, N900XP (msn HA-0062), is configured for up to eight passengers. Operated by Alerion Aviation since 2017, it was based at West Palm Beach International until April 2024, after which it was parked until November. It was subsequently based at Van Nuys and is no longer listed as Part 135-certified.
The operator confirmed to ch-aviation that it was currently not managing any Hawkers in its fleet but underlined that it retained the ability to do so.
Alerion Aviation previously operated several other Hawker variants, including the HS-125-700A, Hawker 800XP, Hawker 800XPi, and Hawker 850XP. The company's Part 135 certificate currently comprises a Learjet 60, a Challenger 300, a Global 5000, two Citation Sovereigns, a Citation X, a Legacy 600, an Astra Galaxy, two G200s, a G280, a GIV-SP, and three GVs.
The phase out is part of a broader fleet strategy that chairman Bob Seidel told ch-aviation about in an interview earlier this year. Alerion Aviation aims to expand the fleet with the popular super-midsize and larger jet types it already operates, such as the Challenger 350-series and G200-family.
