Air Tahiti (VT, Papeete) has announced that it will configure one of its four firm-ordered ATR42-600s with the newly unveiled ATR HighLine all-business class interior, launching a new VIP service to its most high-end domestic destinations.

The aircraft will seat up to 26 passengers with the cabin configured in a 1-1 layout. Air Tahiti said it would deploy the VIP aircraft on services to Bora Bora and Raiatea.

"We are not only renewing our fleet, we are launching a whole new travel experience, offering an exceptional service that reflects the natural beauty and unique spirit of our islands," chief executive officer Edouard Wong Fat said.

The French Polynesian carrier currently operates two ATR42-600s and expects the deliveries of another two. The non-VIP units seat up to 48 passengers each. Its fleet also comprises ten ATR72-600s with four more on order, and a single DHC-6-300 wet-leased from Zimex Aviation for the Ua Pou Marquesas-Nuku Hiva route.
