Brighton City Airways (Shoreham by Sea) has announced that from Tuesday May 7 on, it will indefinitely suspend its recently launched service between Shoreham by Sea and Paris Pontoise, due to ongoing French Customs and Immigration delays in setting up a point of entry at Paris Pontoise airport. The airline claims that the lack of customs and immigration facilities at Pontoise has necessitated stops in either Rouen or Le Touquet – en route to Pontoise - resulting in an additional 60% overhead accrued in aircraft operational costs. Brighton City Airways says it will operate the return flights to Paris until May 6 to allow passengers to return from their bank holiday breaks there, but will suspend the service after the return flight to Shoreham lands on Monday evening.
