MAYAir (MYI, Cancún) is looking to secure its own Air Operators Certificate (AOC) in order to expand its domestic Mexican services. Commercial director, Carlos Martinez, told CNNExpansión that its reclassification as a scheduled operator would allow it to serve flights from Cancún and Cozumel to Poza Rica, Tampico and Matamoros.
Currently, it operates an air-taxi service between Cozumel, Cancun, Merida M. Crescencio Rejon, Villahermosa, and Veracruz using Do228s.
