JOTA Aviation (London Southend) took delivery of its first jet aircraft, a BAe 146-200 G-SMLA (cn E2047), at a ceremony held at London Southend on August 29. The quadjet, formerly with Flightline (United Kingdom) (London Southend), joins the rest of the airline's fleet which consists entirely of Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 90s.

The London Southend-based firm expects to receive an A licence imminently from the UK Civil Aviation Authority so that it can fulfill ad-hoc charter, ACMI and lease assignments for corporate businesses and Europe’s regional airlines.
