Hermes Aviation (Malta International) is reportedly eyeing possible flights connecting Italy's north with Sicily in the south with effect from December 15.

The SiciliaInVolo flight blog says the Maltese carrier, under its Fly Hermes brand, has applied to operate 4x weekly flights connecting Comiso and Palermo International with Turin Caselle. A possible onward evening sector to Malta is also a possibility, it said.

Should the routes begin, they will likely be operated by Hermes Aviation's sole aircraft, a B737-400 that the carrier had operated on behalf of Mistral Air (Rome Fiumicino) during the summer season earlier this year.
