Beacon (Boston) has called it quits after just five months in the air co-founder and now-former CFO Cory Cozzens has revealed. According to AIN Online, Cozzens told attendees at the recent NBAA aircraft registration, finance and legal conference in Boca Raton, Florida, that Beacon had ceased operations at the end of January. He did not disclose any reasons.

As with Surf Air (URF, Santa Monica), Beacon had operated a subscription-based model chartering a fleet of PC-12s and Beech (twin turboprop) King Air 350s from Dynamic Aviation (Bridgewater, VA) for multiple daily flights between New York and Boston. Plans to add flights to the Hamptons and Nantucket on weekends never materialized.
