VASCO - Vietnam Air Services (0V, Ho Chi Minh City) will rebrand as SkyViet Aviation (Ho Chi Minh City) once it completes regularization of its business plan with the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport. Local reports indicate approvals could come through as early as next month.
A joint-venture between Vietnam Airlines (VN, Hanoi Noi Bai International) with 51% and local firm Techcombank and its Techcomdeveloper unit with 48% and 1% respectively, SkyViet will continue with and expand VASCO's current business model of serving Vietnam's thinner domestic routes including Con Dao, Ca Mau, Dien Bien Phu, and Rach Gia.
