GI Aviation (Abu Dhabi Bateen) is nearly through with its AOC certification process the founding chairman of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), Ali Ahmed Alnaqbi, has announced.

GI Aviation will target the business community offering affordable charter flights throughout the United Arab Emirates and the surrounding Gulf region, he told a press conference this week.

Operationally, GI Aviation will employ five PC-12NGs, of which one has already been delivered and will be based at Abu Dhabi Bateen. A second is due by year-end.

Given its ruggedness, the Pilatus Aircraft will be able to serve remote, unprepared airstrips while at the same time catering to demand for premium charter services between popular city pairs in the region.
