CB Air Táxi Aéreo (Sorocaba) has been given the greenlight by Brazil's antimonopoly watchdog (CADE) as well as its civil aviation authority (ANAC) to proceed with its proposed takeover of rival operator Global Táxi Aéreo (São Paulo Congonhas).

The agreement was formalised in August this year at a total value of BRR38 million reais and includes the assumption of Global's liabilities. According to a statement issued to the Brazilian press, the name of the newly consolidated carrier will be announced during the first quarter of next year.

In terms of assets, CB Air and Global own thirty-four helicopters and executive jets between them including Dassault Aviation Falcons, Cessna 680s, E505 Phenoms, Beech (twin turboprop) King Airs, and Gulfstream G200s. In all, they also own ten hangars (two at São Paulo Campo de Marte, three at São Paulo Congonhas, two at Sorocaba, two at Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont, and another in Brasília Juscelino Kubitschek International), and two heliports in São Caetano do Sul, the ABC industrial region in Greater São Paulo, and the other in Alphaville, in São Paulo.
